Als de kat van huis is... (or, Murphy's law)
The term "Hacker" often gets mis-interpreted, but in general I think any of those that are dubbed "hacker" are pretty damn smart and I tend to like them. Crackers, script-kiddies and anybody else whom are often mistaken for hackers (when actually they are abusing code and inventions made by true hackers) with malicious intend are the scum of the net and I truly dislike them. Even more so since they hacked my old web-server, or at least, that is the most likely scenario.
While I was traveling, this particular very extended trip, just about anything that could have happened, and one thing that should never have, happened. First my server crashed, the CPU actually fried itself (I'd never considered that possible!!!), then somebody wrecked the configuration on the ADSL modem, my connection got upgraded after the modem was fixed, creating a new connection blackout and when all seemed smooth sailing, the server got hacked, or at least something on the local network got hacked and we're blaming the server cause we couldn't find anyhting else...
That's what seems to happen only when you're not at home... Well, I'm back, the big advantage, if any of that happens, at least now I'm here to fix it myself and that should massively cut down on my websites being offline...
So, yes, I'm back home, I will possibly post one last post on that, with a last google-map, but as usual, don't take my word for it ;)
